Vir

As we promised, we did a story while we were on vacation on the beautiful island of Vir.

Vir is an island located near the city of Zadar, and has an area of 22.38 km2. The island is located 26 km from Zadar, which is also a very popular tourist destination in Croatia.

On this beautiful island that has about 3,000 inhabitants of which 91.83% were Croats. Main activity BNA island is tourism course, but with this kind of activity, people are engaged in fishing, animal husbandry and agriculture.

The Island’s tourists are mostly German, Hungarian and Swiss. For night life you have to go to the center of Vir because there are the best places to go. Two of the best nightclubs are Vagabundo cocktail bar (which play house and Balkan music), and Nostromo cocktail bar where they play house and foreign music. After midnight is the biggest rush in the two clubs and the crowds were constant throughout the week, every single day. Because of the crowd you will have to wait up to 20 minutes to order your drink. All the clubs on the Island close at about 2am, only one disco works from 1:00 to 5:00 in the morning and after the closure of all the clubs in Vir everyone is rushing to the disco called the More, but we would advise you not to go there because of the bad and stressful condition of the disco in which no one would go to work even some nightclub or disco.

Beaches on Vir are beautiful, clean and calm. Since the beginning of the coast up to 200 m distance, one usually reaches the depths of eight feet from the sand at the bottom, perfect for families with children and others. The beaches have plenty of cafes where you can calm down and hide in the shade. The prices of beer and sodas are around € 2. A small problem is that some beaches have no shelter, so you have to take a parasol ,which you can buy in any store on the island, as well as everything else you need for the beach.
