Porec

The climate in Porec is a very mild summer and no swelter. The city has over 3850 hours of sunshine annually. The warmest month is August with an average temperature of 30 °C, while the coldest month is January with an average low of 5 °C, so you can see a big difference between summer and winter temperatures. The temperature can reach up to 28 °C. Since it was founded in Porec, until the arrival of tourism, the people in it dealt exclusively in agriculture and fishing, so Porec doesn't have any other developed industries except the food industry.

From attractions in Porec worth Euphrates basilica, which is one of if not the best preserved monument of Byzantine art. The whole complex Euphrates basilica you can see a variety of art objects in the early Christian, medieval and early Byzantine period and various other monuments. Despite the damage to the church because of earthquakes, fires, wars and alike, floor mosaics in the church have remained preserved and today is an example of early Christian art.

Porec is one of the main tourist centers in Croatia due to the large number of hotels, campsites, beaches, apartments, villas it is surprising for such a not-so-big city. The hosts are very kind to tourists, so people go home from vacation happy and satisfied and a lot of them, for years, return in Porec. Of all the beaches in Porec, two must be pointed out. That's the «Gradsko kupaliste» beach and the Brulo beach because of their exceptional quality. They even received an award, a blue flag. The same award went to the St. Nikola island where there is a lot of beaches and is located in close proximity to Porec, only a few minutes away by boat. Blue Lagoon beach is also a beautiful beach, and it, like the other beaches, is covered by fine gravel. All beaches have a lot of potential for recreation, as well as water polo and volleyball.
